The Promised Land

A scenic 10-minute drive from Bellingen. It is a lush, green area of farmland surrounded by the rainforest of the Great Dividing Range. The gorgeous Never Never Creek meanders through this area providing many perfect, secluded swimming holes and picnic spots.


Community Markets

Held in the ‘Bellingen Market Park’ in Church Street on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Locally grown produce and unique arts/crafts from the Bellingen Shire can be found here. Something for all including live music, camel rides, and wonderful food. Their motto “Not just a market but a great place to be” says it all.

Growers Market

Held on the 2nd and the 4th Saturday of the month from 8 am. Located at the Bellingen Showground at the corner of Hammond and Black Streets. Fresh produce galore.


Eat, Drink, Shop

The Belfry is conveniently located in the heart of town. Bellingen has a treasure trove of second-hand clothes shops, quirky boutiques, homewares, bookshops, and much, much more. Please visit to discover the amazing array of Bellingen eateries and bars.


Bellingen Canoe Adventures

Located at 4 Tyson Street, Fernmount, its a 5 five minute drive from Bellingen town. Canoe hire and tour owner Daniel offers free pick-up and drop off from our guesthouse for larger groups.


This park is part of the Gondwana Rainforest Of Australia World Heritage Area. It is renowned for its dramatic waterfalls and rich abundance of flora and fauna. It is open daily from 9 am – 4.30 pm. The Belfry is located 30 minutes from the national park.



Two of the best boardwalks on the east coast. They have spectacular views from the sea up the river valleys to the Great Dividing Range. They are a 15-minute drive from Bellingen.



The pristine beaches of the Coffs Coast are a short drive from Bellingen. Enjoy gorgeous beaches at VallaUrungaMylestomSawtell and Coffs Harbour.
